Swan Tattoos

A popular swan tattoo is the picture from the music from Led Zeppelin album swan song.  There are black or white swans.  The majestic Trumpeter swan is a beautiful pure white bird that has ebony bills, legs and feet.  The Black Swan has black feathers with their bills being red and white.  If you are in search of a swan tattoos it's interesting to note the Trumpeter Swan has a red border on its lower mandible, the Tundra Swan has a yellow makring on the lore and the Mute Swan has an orange bill and black knob on its forehead.

The Swan Tattoo has a number of different associations attached to it.  The swan is said to symbolize purity, beauty, grace and sincerity.  At one time the swan was believed to have magical powers of enchantment prophecy and transformation.

Frequently the Swan tattoos are designed with two or twin swans gazing into each other's eyes.  Other displays are of the beautiful peaceful swan on a pool of water or with grasses or greenery.
